Anybody have any idea where we stand right now in terms of the team's payroll? Just curious as to about how much we may have left to spend.

Last time I heard, we still had like 20-30 million, but I could be completly wrong.

thats the last I heard also, however Hendry did state that he and John Mcdonough would be sitting down to go back over their plan and make the appropriate adjustments needed to get the job done. This is reasuring cause the way I interpreted it was that if there was more money needed it was definatly possible to expand even further.

20-30 sounds about right. This has got to be the most interesting off season in recent memory.

Most interesting for me anyways, probably the most memorable.

I think we have around 25-30 left. Don't know though.

I think it depends on whos out there and for what. Thats what will decide the budget IMO.

I am in still disbelief that the Chicago Cubs are making an effort to SPEND money! This has to be one of the best offseason's I have ever witnessed in all my years being a Cubs fan. I am finally thinking this may turn into something special real soon!!

My hopes arent quite up yet, Im still thinking this will be more of a rebuilding year. We'll make some noise for sure, but I think the more serious run will come after next season. Dont get me wrong I hope to christ we go all the way but, Im trying to be realistic. (And Superstitious)

No problem. Thank you. I've been trying to keep the payroll as up to date as possible. I'll continue to do so as the Cubs sign or trade for more players.
