I just really want baseball. I knew this would happen, after following the Cubs diligently for the whole season (being my first season as a true die hard Cubs fan) I knew we'd get to the offseason and I'd get bored out of my mind. I mean, I can watch football, but thats just once every weekend. I just really need baseball. I think I'll fly down to Cuba and watch the winter ball.

I know how you feel.... here is a way I cope with the Offseason Blues. Video tape every game. Don't label them. When you get to the point where you absolutely can't bear the offseason any longer, pop in a tape. Since it isn't labeled, you will be surprised at which game you are watching. I did it the other day, and watched the Cubs vs Sox when Barrett punched AJ. The rush came back as if it had just happened. I'm usually okay until about the middle of January. November is still pretty fresh out of the season. December is pretty hectic with Christmas and all. It is January that is the worst. Nothing to look forward to all month except cold weather and snow. February gets a little better when pitchers and catchers report in the middle of February, a little more sports tv coverage then. March is literally a breath of Fresh Air. April... I take Opening Day off work every year... put on my Cubs jersey. Stand for the National Anthem, and don't move from first pitch to last out.

Lol, yea my brother suggested that this year I tape games and watch them in the offseason. And that's nice that you put the Barret game in. I was so pissed that I missed that game, cause I had a soccer game. I just remember hearing about it on the radio in the car on the way home, and then I got home and found a clip on ESPN.com, and I started cheering.

I found this quote by Rogers Hornsby (old Cubs player):

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."

That's what I do. And go to here, cubs.com, and unfortunately school. At least my spring break's over Opening Day week! :)

I wouldn't see a problem with that, but I don't make decisions around here. I think scuba put this here for that too.
