good interview. (http://www.670thescore.com/play_window.php?audioType=Episode&audioId=1058027)...and yes, proof that booing does affect the players...

Thanks for these, Ryno. I'm wanting Cliff Floyd to stay, but I read in Vineline that he is thinking about retiring. He has become a favorite of mine since ST here in Ariz and I'd like to see him stay at least another season.

he said in the interview right now it's a 50/50% chance. He wants to play everyday and not be a bench player, so he doesn't know if that would fit into Pinella's plan...esp. with Murton who is cheaper.

AHHHHHH! Don't scare me! What could convince him to stay? I've actually thought about it and if he thought he could be an integral part of a WS winning team, I think he'd stay. That would be a good way for him to go out. I think he could convince Lou to let him be an everyday player if he did his strength training during the offseason. Mark O'Neill (sp?) will be traveling to make sure the players are keeping up with their scheduled regimens. He can just add Cliff to his schedule.
