Twenty-two years and one day after the Miami Dolphins upset the '85 Bears on Monday Night Football in the Orange Bowl, the Ravens were just 44 seconds from doing the same to the '07 Patriots at M&B Bank Stadium. [Howard Cosell]But no![/Howard Cosell] Tom Brady orchestrates a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, helped out by fourth-down penalties and a Rex Ryan time out call before the Ravens apparently stopped the Pats on 4th and 1 on the Ravens 30, to get the touchdown pass to Javar Gaffney and win it, 27-24.

This is on the heels of last Sunday night's nailbiter in Foxboro against the Eagles. It seems the Eagles and Ravens have shown ways to beat the Pats, but Brady is always able to pull something out of his rear end and keep the perfect season alive.

Does this mean the Patriots are a team of destiny, or are they just delaying the inevitable '72 Dolphins' popping of the cork? The Pats still have the Steelers next week, the Jets in two weeks, followed by the 0-12 Dolphins and the Giants.

I hope so. The '72 Dolphins really bother me with the Champagne antics every year. I think it is classless.

That was one hell of a game last night. The Ravens gave the pats 2nd chances and still almost won with the hail mary at the end.

I hope they lose.....I hate Bill Belicheck and Tom Brady more than nebody....Bill is just trying to get back at the league for earlier in the year. If I was the other coach and he was up 42-10 on my team in the 4th quarter on 4th and goal and he went for it I wouldn't even go near him after the game. Belicheck running up the score to try and prove a point, That's classless.

IMO, I don't think you can run up the score in pro sports. I agree there are somethings you shouldn't do, but I have a real problem with old curmudgeons celebrating behind the bench of a team who has been busting their butt's to accomplish a pretty intimidating task. I just think it is low brow. That and I think Shula is a Toolbag. On the flip side Belicheck is too.

I'd like to see the Pats go 19-0 just to shut up the entire '72 Dolphin squad.

One things for sure, every game they play is a big one.
