Cabrera's future with White Sox

If Orlando Cabrera really is sincere about wanting to get onto the free-agent market the White Sox might as well know that as soon as possible. It's possible that they could get Coco Crisp and Julio Lugo from Boston for Cabrera, or that they might get a rich package of prospects from the Cubs and let Juan Uribe play shortstop for another year. Or maybe Cabrera would snap up the offer they made to Kosuke Fukudome -- $50 million over four years. That wouldn't be a bad thing, either, as it would secure a position at which the Sox have few attractive internal options.

Just saw this on fannation....I would be ecstatic if we got him although you know the asking price will be really high for us because we're the crosstown rivals....I also wouldn't want to see us give up 2-3 prospects that will make an impact somewhere down the line for them....if we did do it hopefully those prospects would be busts.

they just traded for him. I doubt they move him until the trade deadline if at all

Let's build Hendry a time machine so he can go back to 2004 and get Cabrerra instead of Nomar. Then we can steal his cell phone the day before he makes the Juan Pierre trade.
