I found a video from the Cubs Brewers game where everyone booed Bob Uecker as he did the 7th inning stretch, and then the rest of Wrigley started singing it.

I respect Uecker. One of my favorite non-cubs announcers. He is classy in the way he sings. "For I'll root, root root for the Brewers, you do the same for the Cubs"

Thats class. He is showing support for his team, and not taking the attention or the home crowd feel away entirely from the Cub fans

I agree. It's not like he totally went the other team's way like the late Jack Buck did in '98 or '99. They play that tape all the time now in Busch.

He is atleast classy with teh way he does it with respect to Cubs tradition.

They just played this game on Comcast this afternoon! I was always hoping this video would resurface here.... they talked about it on the tv, but didn't show it. I believe it just shows how amazing Cub fans are..... how in unison, 40,000+ start their own version of it.

ofcourse. they wont let the enemy take their song away. i just think its really respectful in the way that he sings it :)
