Do we have any EPL fans here? being from England it was instilled in my from a young age (Even though the team i support Norwich City, are not in it)

I do like watching the EPL, and i can see why people call it the best league in the world.

So any fans around here?

I watch it from time to time. My brother watches it a lot more then me though. It's just hard for me to really get into it when none of my friends pay attention to it, and they don't play around here. I do watch the MLS though. We got half season tickets for them, so I see a lot of games. And I really get into international soccer when World Cup time comes around. I was actually in Germany during the last World Cup. Didn't see any games though unfortunatly. But a few months ago I did get to see US vs. Brazil here in Chicago. US actually played pretty well considering it was Brazil.

i live in scotland, so i see a whole lot of 'epl' action, indeed it is very awesome (and far superior to scottish football, btw)

Cant argue with that, i like watching the odd scottish game, usually Celtic v Rangers though.

yeah, besides old firm games i havent watched regular scottish league for years. still go to the odd dundee game but first division is like standing in the cold and rain watching paint dry :)

I don't reguarly watch the EPL, but it's available to me on Fox Soccer Channel. If I were to watch soccer, I usually focus on the international matches, especially Team USA. I couldn't believe that we essentially was three and out again in Germany. It seems when the Cup is not held in Europe, the U.S. does well (advanced to the second round here in the U.S., quarters in Korea, but 0-3 in Italy, 0-3 in France and 0-2-1 in Germany). Is there a jinx against the Americans in Europe or something?

Next one is in South Africa so maybe you can make a statement there, and we can see if there is a jinx agaisnt the US on European soil.

I have to say that i can only just watch the Old Firm games let alone division 1 games Dundee.

cubbies10: oh, youre quite right, i actively counsel people NOT to watch scottish league football. it sucks. hard.

van: european teams travel very poorly so non-euro teams such as yourselves have a much better chance of progression outside of Europe. so its not you, its us.

I have given up any hope of seeing England win a major International trophy in my lifetime, even with great players they are rubbish, i have always said that England is one of the most boring teams to watch. I would actually rather watch the Scottish team, at least they have passion.

Just thought would try and get this going again, this season is turning out to be pretty exciting. United and Arsenal keep swapping the lead, Chelsea keep threatening to get involved and then drop points. Newcastle are flirting with relegation which would be hilarious if it happened. Spurs continue to be the most streaky team i have ever seen, and Derby just continue to embarrass themselves in the process of getting relegated.

i agree that its shaping up very nicely, but i do wish sky wouldnt insist on this godforsaken grand slam sunday nonsense...

must admit, im enjoying newcastles collapse, quite a lot... and more importantly the Red Devils are top again!

Exactly the same DC, i was watching Soccer AM on sky sports this morning and they must of mentioned 'Super Sunday' at least once every 5 minutes.

What do you credit for Newcastle being so bad, i look through the team and i see a lot of good players in there, granted there defense is not that good, but there midfield and attack are pretty good, even with the poor defense the attacking options should see them at least top half of the table...

newcastle won! largely i put it down to complete lack of organization, particularly at set pieces. in general they frequently play like a sunday league team: on saturday they looked much more organized.

Well it was a lot closer in the end than i think many people thought it would be. United win for the second time though.

Talk about Ronaldo moving to Real Madrid, if that does go through it will severly harm Uniteds chances of winning the championship 3 times in a row.
