It's a 2 year $11 mil deal....He has nasty stuff when healthy which has been a problem for him in the past.....I think that the Sox and Brewers had the same mindsets on this offseason....OVERSPEND in the bullpen.

It just proves their lack of confidence in their rotation.

So far Howry & Eyre have been worth it.

Agree on Howry, disagree on Eyre
On Hindsight, Howry has performed much better as a Cub than he ever had before in his career in terms of WHIP, K/9, K/BB. Which makes Howry the exception to the rule.

Eyre was lights out in the 2nd half of LY & good most of 06'.

I think both Eyre and Howry were good signings.....Howry is a great set-up man and when he's right Eyre can get that tough out.

Well you play the whole year. And despite having a good BAA against, he still walked 15 guys in 19 IP.
He was lucky in 2006 to have an ERA as low as he did with nearly a 1.5 WHIP and almost and .800 OPs against. Those aren't good numbers.
