First of all hello and I'm a yankee/cubs fan.... I got a random email from bottomlesspockets@gmail.com and I was wondering if they were from the mlb.com message boards or something.... ? If anyone knows them let me know..... they're also known as 08cubbies I think.

Well, Sen. Clinton is a Cub and Yankee fan. (Cubs because she's from the northern 'burbs originally before meeting former Pres. Clinton, Yankees because she now represents New York in the Senate.) Also, my dad roots for both the Yanks and Cubs.

They did promote the site through that email..... the email was set up as if it was a bot that made it if you know what I mean.... I emailed them back wondering who they were.

Why not this is a Cubs forum and I hate the Yankees - do not take it personally it has nothing to do with you. I just plain hate the Yankees period.

I don't have anything against the Yanks (as a matter of fact, I do really like Jeter and Arod).... but usually you hear the BoSox and Cubs being like "curse-mates". I'm not sure about the whole email thing.... and not really sure how the whole "bot" thing works, but no matter how you got here... Welcome and be sure to stop back often, esp. during the season!

I have to say I respect the heck out of Jeter. I like the way he just goes out and plays the game. And ARod is just a freaking helluva player. Other than that not many Yankees i like. I did enjoy the ESPN special series on the 1977 Yankees though the title skips my mind.

I don't really hate the Yankees, but that's mostly because all my hate is aimed towards the Brewers, Cardinals, and White Sox. I don't have enough hate to spread it to the Yankees.

I would say I hate the Cards more than anyone else that is for sure! If the play in the Central Division and are not named the Cubs I hate 'em.

Yankees have tradition, Red Sox have a bunch of loud mouth little brats as fans.
I just absolutely hate the Red Sox, Boston, and New England. Loudest, dumbest band wagon fans of all time. I though Yankees and Cubs fans were bad at one time, but at least we know something about baseball. Red Sox fans only know the crude oil they call beer.

I obviously missed out on this discussion as I haven't really been here for a few months. But I'm adding my two cents anyway...
I used to hate the Yankees (for winning all the time and taking it for granted). In recent years, however, I have moved on. Mostly because of Brett Gardner, a guy in their system. So at this point, I guess I'm sort of even rooting for a Yankee. :) I still gripe about them occasionally, but I wouldn't insult a Yankee fan to their face.

Here is a person that has his priorities straight. Don't waste your energy on people that are that far away and don't hurt us. They have their king george and we have zell... talk about covering the alphabet.
