According to mlb.com, there are whispers that Rowand could be a target for the Cubs to fill CF. It would obviously have to happen through a trade, but I don't see why you would do it. Jones and Rowand have pretty much the same numbers and salary and we would be getting rid of our only left-handed bat. The only reason I see doing this is because Rowand has more experience playing CF and Jones is not liked by many fans and he let it be known how much it bothered him when fans booed him.

I don't like the idea of that either. I am content on them going after Lofton and our outfield will be fine. Murton, Lofton, Soriano from left to right.

I would hate it if we traded for rowand. Think about this, first he was with the sox which i can deal with. After he broke his leg at wrigley he talked how awful of a field we have and he hates wrigley. Why would we want someone like this to play for us?

I am a personal fan of Aaron Rowland. I would love to see him play in Wrigley! I met him once at Sox Fest (a friend bought my ticket) he is a real cool guy, fan favorite, and he is a big Bears fan. I would love to see him come to the Cubs, maybe I am just being selfish..Yes his stats aren't wonderful but hey who knows, back in Chicago at a hitter's ballpark with the wind blowing out who knows what could happen. Plus I would like to see what my best friend the sox fan would do with his Rowland jersey?? I think he burned his Cotts one...lol

I would love to see rowand in cubbie blue, he is what a ballplayer is supposed to be. However im not too jazzed about trading anyone for him. I would rather rent lofton and focus on pitching.

He has talent obviously but just has had a rough time in philly.
Im not too crazy about stacking this lineup from the right side but I would prefer him over Lofton to be honest.
Wonder who the Phils would want in return? Hill?

bobby hill is good. rowand is a really good hard nose player. i think i would rather a lofton-like player at the top of the order. its all about sex appeal
