Red Sox plucked talented outfielder J.D. Drew off the free-agent market, agreeing to terms with the left-handed hitter on a reported five-year $70-million contract.

Well, we know he isn't coming to Chicago now. It will be interesting to see if he can stay healthy enough to live up to $14mil/yr. I doubt it. ;)

14 mill a year raise and they wouldn't pay to keep Johnny Damon last year...hmmmm

I am very glad we didn't go after Drew. That clown was making something like $11mil last year. For some reason, he was looking for a raise because of his gaudy 20hrs.

Theo has given a 12:00 EST deadline tomorrow to discuss Manny. After that I'm not sure what happens.

I think he'll stay in Boston.
