Aslo Ceasar is a much better shortstop. Lugo has a good arm but very very wild. Maybe the most overrated player to sign so far. Hes not even a switch hitter.

Amen to that Brutus! Izturis is a #8 hitter with a good glove I would have rather had Lugo.

Lugo has a lifetime .277 avg vs. Cesar .259 but lugo is 5 years old and never came close to a gold glove. Not putting much into the award but ss is a hard position to play. Lugo hits for more power but we don't really need that. We need a solid #2 hitter that can get on base and move runners over. The only thing I like about lugo is his obp.

"we need a solid #2 hitter that can get on base and move runners over."
Explain to me how we're going to do that with a guy batting .259, and I'll buy you a 6 pack of a beer of your liking.

Actually I think this is where we benefit with Lofton. If they deal with Lofton I expect the line-up to be 1)Soriano 2)Lofton 3)Lee 4)Ramirez. They should be able to produce alot of runs with an order of those four.
