From espn.com, the Dodgers are closing in on a 3yr/$47mil deal for Schmidt. Well, if we end up getting Lilly, what other pitcher do we go after?
It sucks. I was really wanting Schmidt. :(

Schmidt would have been nice but Lilly and Meche wouldn't be bad pick up. Look for this to happen if Schmidt falls through.
Anyone else notice all the shuffling going on this off season between the California teams?

The Dodgers can have him for that much money. He's worth 12 mil a year tops.

I'm just glad he's not in our division, especially st louis. im not worried, lilly and meche are still out there, and several others if they dont work out (marquis, suppan, etc.) something tells me his elbow will blow out in july anyway

I was hoping we'd land him. JH needs to work fast now and grab Lilly & Meche. Not the highest teired guys, but the best available.
The Dodgers are also rumored o be shopping Penny. He wouldn't be a bad addition.

I kind of figured he was going to stay on the West Coast. I wouldn't mind having Meche and Lilly.
