Now that schmidts a dodger

Now that he has signed with the dodgers, i hear that they are looking for offense and will be willing to trade penny. Why not trade JJ and a young arm for penny? I think penny is a great pitcher and i believe JH can make this happen. Does anyone else agree?

If that is the case then they will have the pieces to get Manny, I read something a few days ago that stated the Dodgers inquired about Manny but backed away because Boston requested Penny be involved in the trade.

I don't think he will stay in Boston because I think they are tired of hearing every year how he wants to be traded. Granite if they can't get quality people for him he will stay put, but with the market the way it is this year Manny is a bargain for whats been happening and somebody will put a trade in front of Boston that they will not refuse.

I think they'd be more inclined towards an experienced relief pitcher, rather than a young starter (they're so deep for starters I doubt they'd bother with someone like Marmol). My bet: Novoa, JJ and a position player from the farm...

I'm not a big fan of Penny. Just something about his manner doesn't sit well with me for some reason. Maybe I just haven't seen enough of him, but I hope it doesn't come down to going after him. :cool:

I don't see us going after Penny because it is reported that they are going after a quality bat and we don't have who they want so no fear there Scuba. I think they went after Schmidt to free Penny up to go after Manny. just my thoughts though.

like him or not he's still a quality starter than can win games for us and if we cant get lilly or meche, we dont have a lot of options since starting pitching is a hot commodity right now.
