I just got this email from the Pres. of the Chiefs regarding a mascot contest. Please take a few minutes and visit this website and vote for the Chief's mascot (Homer is his name) :)

Today is ROUND 2 of the National Minor League Baseball Logo Contest. Because of YOU, the Chiefs have made it to the final 32 teams in the country. However, today we face the Goliath of Minor League Baseball, The Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple A affiliate of the Florida Marlins).
Here are the facts….
· The Albuquerque area is about four times the size of our Central Illinois region
· They draw 300,000 more fans than we do annually
· Their ballpark is three times larger than ours (however, we have better hot dogs)
Because of the odds against us, the Isotopes Vice President felt obligated to email me this morning and tell me that they will CRUSH US in this competition today. He said, “there is no way our little central Illinois baseball team could compete with their big city team.” I let him know that folks in the Midwest DO NOT rollover for ANYBODY, and to get ready for the fight of a life time (in logo competition terms, of course). So there it is. We’ve been called out by the city of Albuquerque. What are we going to do?
