Dutchie Caray is furious with AT&T over television commercials featuring comic John Caponera pitching cable TV while impersonating the late Harry Caray.

"I just get shivers when I even think about it," she told WGN-Ch. 9 on Monday morning.

"I was gone the whole month of March and I didn't come back until a couple of days ago. ... It made me so sick and disgusted. ... What they did [was] so unprofessional, so jerky. ... I might make an AT&T commercial, wrap myself in telephone wire, ughl-ughl-ughl and act like an idiot dope."

Wow, such disdain over Caponera imitating her late husband. I do see her point, though. Caponera and Will Ferrell portray Harry in his drunken stupor all the time. Maybe if AT&T had asked Duchie's permission to do those commercials imitating Harry, and she had some input as to how far Caponera goes in his impressions, things won't be so bad in her mind.

However, I think Caponera is just reflecting what was a charicature of Harry, not the man.

She might also be upset because the commercials aren't even close to funny.

They poke fun at Harry with that dvr backwards thing at the end, Harry is a legend to us Cubbie fans, kudos to Dutchie for standing up for her late husband, I mean if she wants Cubbie fans to sign a petition, where do I sign!

I just hate those commercials because they're dumb. I mean, Will Ferrel was at least funny when he did his Harry impression.
