View Full Version : Shoutbox idea --- Read/Feedback

Alright, I was thinking it would be cool if you could add like a shoutbox, not to just the main page, but to the Game Threads forum ---- or have a pop up link for it when games are going on... or something. It would be cool to interact immediately during the game.

Just an idea.:D

yeah, good idea. me and a few of the 'normals' on cubs.com used to do an informal yahoo messenger convo, but it fizzled out when i came here. i suppose we could do that here, if we could persuade van to do his play by play that way instead that would be cool.

Yeah, I wouldn't like it on the main page. I am sure it could be implemented some how. The shoutbox addon is added to the main page only, once you click a forum it goes away. It seems like you could just put it on a certain page.

This is something that has been brought up before. Although I too like the idea (especially for the Game Threads section), it somewhat defeats the purpose of a forum. I will keep it in mind and I have done some research on possible chat programs that could be used, so we'll see. Thanks for the suggestion and if you guys have any other ideas, feel free to share them. :)

Thanks scuba, it doesnt defeat the purpose of the forum if you just put it under a certain forum. I hate having to reload and reload to see what people are saying about the game that is going on.

Shout boxes are great we use ours on my site all the time just to talk amongst friends and stuff! You should add it!

Anyway, I think a shoutbox would be great for the site. I hope you guys (and gals) strongly consider it.
