I often wonder with the Cubs new look, attitude and acquistion's how many bandwagon jumpers we will have now? Feb. 23rd regular season tickets go on sale and our "new" fans will be buying up all the good tickets. Just like in 04 I couldn't get a ticket to save my life the only year I did't see the Cubs at Wrigley.

It will probably be all of the *** hats that jumped onto the Sox bandwagon the last two years. They will all come back. I personally am not buying ANY tickets this year, UNTIL later in the year if and when they are in a pennant race. Sorry, but I swore off giving the Cubs ANY of my money until they prove something to me. We may look better on paper, but I have to see how that tranfers to the field and the standings. For a little more money, I can get pretty kick *** seats from the Cubs broker anyway. I have never been able to get tickets to the games I want by going through the "virtual waiting room" anyway. That whole process is WAY FLAWED!

The trick to the waiting room is simple, open no less than 5 browsers at once and just sit and stare. Its great if im at work, that way im getting paid for it. As far as the bandwagon jumpers are concerned, there's always room for more eye candy!! Plus its fun calling out the fair weather fans.

Oh yeah, all the fair weather fans will be back (for the moment) along with all the loser bandwagon people who we don't need in the first place. Its easy to spot people like this there usually suburban losers that drive Volvos (or the "family" mini-van) with a Baby on Board sign in the window (god thats great, pure Americans...Right!!) and a fanny pack. There chidren will more often than not have shoes with lights in them. Also, some of them are compulsive gamblers that have nothing better to do so they pick the flavor of the month and run with it. :D

dont forget the jerkoffs who steal the best bleacher seats and try to heckle and fail miserably. I HATE those morons.

There is a very simle trick that you can do that if you use, practically guarentees you decent tickets. Here are the steps...Open up an internet explorer window. Then click file at the top of the page and go to "new window" (or Hold control and press N).
Do this many times while in the virtual waiting room.It will copy the window so you have 25 or so window's of the virtual waiting room.It multiplies your chances of getting tickets by however many windows you have.Good luck.

There will be a few of them I'm sure but if the Cubs do well this year they will come out of the woodwork for the 08 season.

I can't see real bandwagon clowns jumping on until after the all-star break and the Cubs are in first, then they'll be out. It's like winning the lottery, you never knew how many relatives you had...

Yep, this is what I did last year. I think I had something like 50 or 60 windows open and just kept an eye on them. I ended up buying the max tickets (like 42) and most of my tickets were to Saturday games against good teams (Cards, Mets, Giants, etc.). You just have to make sure you go quick when you get through so that you can get done and get back to the other windows and not miss any opportunities. Takes a little getting used to, but definitely worth it. :D :D

I don't think the bandwagoners will come till later if they do come at all.

They will show up around playoff time.

It will be really bad if the Cubs win the series bc they will act like they have been suffering just like the rest of us.

I really cant stand people who watch sports and jump on bandwagons.

Like the Bulls of the 90s. Soon after the end, the diehard Bulls fans were nowhere to be seen or they have been Lakers fans long before they were Bulls fans.

Ugh.

They will start showing up as soon as the bandwagoners realize that the sox wont be the best team in the city anymore. Prob june or july. They will proclaim that they have always been cubs fans while lighting fireworks in the streets when the pale ho's won it. Those people piss me off. I have to stop or i might break something.

My point is this I been a Cubs fan since 1983, I suffered through 16 losing seasons, 8 times they finished over .500 (3 division champs, 1 Wild Card), I know I am not a long time sufferer like some others but come on. I ask "fans" who played right field before Sammy Sosa they just look at me like a deer in headlights. Thats why I personally hate bandwagoners and I wonder how many there going to be come time when the Cubs start looking good and start winning. This is our team go back to the South Side and stay there..lol

I'm kidding about the whole punching in the face thing. It was funny in 03 when the Cubs where looking good and the bandwagoners started coming out and true fans like ourselves started getting lumped in with them.

gotta admit: there for a while.. I didn't follow baseball.. I followed it in 98, and then when they went all in in 03, that's when I really started following them.. I've been a cubs fan since I was a kid.. but not real die hard.. you wanna call me a bandwagoner, so be it..

Grrr. I actually missed the second half of the 98 season and the entire 03 season. In 03 i watched 2 reg. season games on tube, 1 playoff game via satellite, and as much as i could via internet. In 98 i missed the home run chase, the wildcard race the playoffs all that. ive only seen the worst of the last several years. i vaguely remember 89, i remember being heartbroken as will clark stomped all over us in the playoffs, dont remember any of 84. and yet, every year i show up (03 and 98 notwithstanding) with the hope and fleeting prayers. ive watched asshat fans of every other team celebrate, quite literally in my face. yet i still fly the cubbie colors. god dammit try to call me a bandwagoner. not that anyone has, i just all of a sudden felt the need to vent. when will this end?

LOL Hey at least they are not raising ticket prices again

I'll be at the Cubs series at Coors. I plan on throwing plastic spiders at Glen Allen Hill, as he is now the Rockies first base coach. oh yeah and they got Latrine too (woohoo!!)

It's not a bad place to see a game, got really cheap tickets there towards the end of last summer when I moved out there.
