If you get a chance (and get Comcast Sports Net) check out tonight's broadcast. For the first time since 1980, the Cubs and White Sox are playing the Mets and Yankees on the same day in the same city tomorrow. So, Comcast Sporst Net (in cooperation with CSN in NYC) did a really neat segment on the differences between NYC and Chicago.... and even had the guy who sings at Harry Caray's make a music video that was a Chicago is my Kinda Town/ New York New York song remix.

That's rather odd: 28 years.
And I'm guessing, if the Sux can hold their end of the "bargain" we're kickin' butt.

Did you know?:
The Cubs are the best (highest scoring) offense in baseball: 118 runs!
No DH too!

118 runs is very impressive. Whats more impressive is the fact that this team is on pace for near 1000 runs for the season (not likely as it is a long season)! If A-Ram goes on a torrent streak along with rest hitting like this, our Cubs will be unstoppable!

Apparently 4+2 (like I mentioned; this temporary keyboard has "dead" keys) teams have scored 1000 runs in a season; the 1930 Cubs just missing. 1930 was a watershed year for offense it seems.

Guys I found this article, after Santana saw how electric Wrigley was last night, he might be having a change of heart about signing with the Mets , but Twins never told him JH came knocking.... http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/47618

Santana wouldn't have wanted to sign or play with us. He'd rather play on the East coast...that's ok he doesn't have to win the World Series, we'll just win it without him.

Wow, can't the Brewers EVER win a close game? Gag-ne is a BUST! But the Brewers MUST split the series today.

I have no complaints if the Brewers and Cardinals want to play more than 9 innings

I dislike both Brew Crew and Red Birds, but I found myself wanting the Crew to win that one to bring the Red Birds 1.5 games back.

I really feel the Brewers are the Cubs true competition. The Cards have too many players overachieving. I'm very confident their bandaid rotation won't be able to hold up during the dog days of summer.

i dont think the Brewers are much of a threat. They have no legit closer. He keeps blowing saves

Its still too early to know. But, as we all know, coming into a new season your strength turns into your weakness.
Cubs starting rotation (for the first 2 weeks)
Brewers offense (still a problem) they are only hitting in the .240s as a team
Gagne is not going to last long with the Brewers, he simply can't close consistently.

I was curious if the Mets and Yankees are sharing the same hotel. There is some bad blood between the teams, and there could be a problem if they interact with each other.
