Rich Hill allowed two runs in five innings Tuesday in his first start for Triple-A Iowa since being demoted.

Hill walked just one and struck out five. If he's as successful in his next start or two, the Cubs shouldn't wait long to bring him back to the majors

The Cubs will look for consistency. Once Rich shows it, he will be back. Whether it's 3,4, 5 or more starts in Iowa will depend on him.

Yeah, I agree with that. He's got to get some confidence back because he's lost it so far, and with the way Lieber pitched, we're going to need him.

I heard on the radio tonight that Hill was the breaking point of the deal with the O's (they wanted him and Hendry wouldn't budge) for He who's name shall not be spoken on this board..... kinda ironic!

They expect Hill to be a major part of this rotation, and what he's shown in the past warrants that... we need pitching much more than hitting right now. In the long run, we will need strong pitching over great hitting...
