Lilly sux and Hill is gone. Liebs is a bullpen guy and not a starter anymore. Marquis is up and down.
We need pitching all of a sudden?

Marshall should be put in and someone brought up. Who do you think?

I just do not understand why Lou had to start Lieber, he excelled at that spot in the pen , Marshall was a starter in the minors, why not Marshall?

Yes, Marshall remained in the 'pen so that Lou has a lefty there until Eyre comes back. After two innings where he first gave up two walks, then went 1-2-3, he's given up homers to Phillips and Votto, and now just walked Dunn. This is not what Lou wanted today.

Well, maybe the Cubs should have kept him stretched out at Iowa if they intended to start him and not use him as a LOOGY.

This playing around with the rotation is pissing me off.

I agree with you, Bock. The only consistent pitchers right now are Z and Demp, with Lilly starting to turn it around. Marquis doesn't deserve to stay in the major leagues anymore, at least not as a starter. Hill needs to fix his control issues. Lieber isn't a starter anymore. Marshall is hit-or-miss, and was misused as a situational lefty. It's almost like the old Milwaukee Braves, "Spaun and Spain and pray for rain."

Stats are bad, but he got off to a rough start. He's been pitching pretty well lately.

Cedeno/Theriot/Fontenot
Hill/Marshall/Marquis
Minor leaguer

One middle infielder, one pitcher and a prospect.

Oh, No, HeyHey.... I am in NO WAY looking forward to the day that Scott Eyre makes his way back to the mound in a real game.... that's why I agreed with the "God help us"! LOL! I think I can throw strikes better than he can!

What can they do ? Sam Zell just got the paperwork to prospective buyers and , it took them almost a year to get that done . Do you think they would add any more paper to it now ? No , this is the team they have unless they can even trade or lock down a secure buyer .
