Wow, I guess I didn't realize how tight of a division it really is.... the Brewers are slowly slipping away.... and the Stros are quietly coming into the picture.

Ned Yost is living on borrowed time in Milwaukee, they have really under achieved so far. The Brewer fans are getting really sick of Yost and I think its funny. After this HUGE sweep I expect another surge on this home-stand.

The Cardinals are going to fall off, they don't have enough veteran offensive players that can carry a team. But, I guess Pujols is like 3 hitters-in-1.

The Astros are a team that scares me. Thats a pretty decent offensive power threat and they have a slightly above average starting 5. The bullpen is rather weak, but that can change.

The Reds and Pirates are going to be fighting for the basement, again.

I don't like that we have to face Peavy.... Maddux is hittable, but Peavy may be a tough night at the plate.

I think if the Reds can put some hitting behind their pitching, they could make a push...

The Pirates have been putting up obnoxious numbers in the run column lately, and while I don't believe they'll contend, I think they'll play spoiler late into the summer.

The Stros will make a push, but don't have enough to contend, and the Cards have decent pitching and good hitting... we saw that last weekend.

The Brewers took a huge hit with Gallardo's injury, but they'll contend just fine. I think that their fans don't know how to deal with adversity after what they consider to be a successful season last year. Yost has done a good job with that young team, and there's no reason to believe that they won't contend again this season.

If only the Cubs could manage to get someone like Wainwright... I think he'd be a phenominal #2 to accompany Zambrano.

Yea , I am up on this !!!! We are ahead in the loss side that they can't get back .

We just need to keep hammering away with good outings by Z, Lilly , Dempster and then get run support for the rest and we have this in the bag .

This year this division is tough, glad we have more respect this year, so when we do win, they won't say, their division is weak.

Its still early, but its nice to see. Im really not worried about what everyone else is doing just yet. If we can turn this sweep into a nice 7-8 game winning streak Ill be happy. f the rotation can give us consecutive quality starts and the lineup keeps putting quality ABs, the cubs will be just fine.
