I was wondering if anyone has had any contact with this guy as far as Cubs cruises or autograph sessions. I know he is a competitor which I love, but he really comes off as selfish sometimes. Ive seen him several times upset when Lou goes to take him out, not to mention him and Rothchild had a few words tonight it looked like. Again I love his emotion and competitve nature, I just know he has had blowups with managers and coaches in the past. Soto went to him a few times tonight and he seemed mad at that. He has won his last 4 in a row though- I think- so I cant complain too much.

Did'nt he have a brain cramp w/ his team b-4 CUBS? I want to say Toronto,,,He got pulled & kinda lost it? I allways watch ta see if 'ol habits die hard, but TED has been quite the pro! Winning has that effect on alot of players & Mr.Lilly is in the right line of attack-

I know what you mean. I was surprised in the 4th and 5th when he struggled that Soto didnt go out there to calm him down. I kept expecting it but it never happened. I know he's been pitching well lately, but he still makes me nervous. Not Marquis nervous, but in that ballpark.

He is always at the Cubs Convention, and always makes time for the fans. I wouldnt say he is selfish.

Thats kind of what I fugured. Thats good then. That just tells me it is his competitive nature. Im sure after a while he regrets doing some of these things. Its just almost like Lou has to explain to him why he is taking him out.

(Demp just gave up the Grand Slam to Pence)...and they showed Lilly walking up to Demp and you could read his lips when he asked Demp if he was okay..... and they had a little conversation. I think he's a good teammate.... and a fierce competitor.

My impression of Ted Lilly is really quiet & confident off the field. On the mound he seems very competitive & determined. I like how he carries himself & am happy he's a Cub. Personally, I had no problem with him throwing his glove in the NLDS.
