Apparently West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez and Alabama are close to a deal for him to sign there. Not really sure why you want to do this if you are him. I think the guy is an alum of W.V. and he's built that program up to be a national powerhouse. Why would you want to start over and live in the shadow of Bear Bryant?

Actually, Rodriguez has told his team he is staying put in Morgantown, so he has either denied the report or turned down the offer from 'Bama.

You're right vanman. He decided to turn down the offer from Alabama because WV came up with some more money at the last minute that was somewhat close to what 'Bama offered.
