Sweet Lou needs to come in and get things done. The nice thing for him is he can come in without having to hold on to the Prior and Wood thing. Prior should be alright, but now the Cubs can go in a different direction. Like I'm sure most people feel, anyone is better than Dusty, right?

I think Lou will do a good job. To me, it all depends on the health of guys. I gotta say, I did like Dusty, but it probably was time for him to go. Get a fresh start and hopefully start competing again.

I wanted Joe G. but Lou was an excellent choice. I hope he can turn things around.

I didnt want lou at first either, i wanted Girardi. Now that Lou is signed for a few years i decided im going to get behind him and hope he does what he says.

i think Lou was a good hire. i'm not sure Joe would have been the right fit. just seems like he's too serious and might butt heads with management.

Its about time we got an asskicker.I'm so sick of the underachievement. The last asskicker was Dallas Green and look where he took us before he got complacent. We've had a lot of talent but 0 drive. Its time to take a different approach that is play or sit ala Scott Skiles.

Yeah I'm happy with Sweet Lou too, he teaches fundamentals (thank god we haven't had that in years) and his players are held accountable. He won't make moves to spite the media like Baker did and he doesn't care if he isn't liked by everybody. I love our group of coaches as well, especially Trammel.
