Yadier Molina seriously injured

As much as we all hate the Cardinals, you still hate to see this. There was a collision at the plate and Molina was hit hard in the back of the head and his neck. He fell straight to the ground and didn't move. He was carted off the field, don't know the extent of injury yet.

Molina was to be held overnight at a hospital for evaluation of neck and back pain, but appeared to be suffering mostly from a case of whiplash.
"The initial stuff was OK," manager Tony La Russa said. "At least right now. We're keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for the best."
