Z said he was fine when leaving the mound and wanted to stay in..... then inteh dugout he was pointing to his shoulder. That is not a comforting thing at all.....

My wife and I were just watching the game when he came out and she said that "he is such a baby" because he is always whining about something or using some stupid excuse when he doesn't pitch well. She calls it like she sees it. He had a ****ty inning and then pitched how many more after that? Give me a break. He either better be hurt or he needs to grow a sack.

Right shoulder discomfort..... as Len and Bob said, that just means they don't know much of anything yet. But, Soto was VERY quick to summons the trainer so he saw something right away.

Z was nearing the end of his night as his pitch count was over 100. so perhaps Lou took him out more a percautionary thing than anything.

On gameday it says Z left due to an injured shoulder/neck. But it is just gameday, so take it for what it's worth.

I'm going to reserve judgment until Lou says something.

I think you are confused with other pitchers. Z's only problem has been cramping. And he gets that when he is pitching well more often then not. He has never had a shoulder injury, and its not fair to accuse him of faking it to get some slack for a bad game.

Soto saw something, maybe a grimamce on the face of Z. Lets hope thats all it was though. Maybe its jsut a dead arm... which alot of pitchers seems to go through now and then.

Like Heather said, thats all they know, and its a common thing to put down when a pitcher leaves with an injury.

Without Z, our dream season will be turning into a nightmare. Demps cant carry this team like Z could. If Z is injured, Hendry better sell the farm and get us CC and Burnett

Z is a horse no doubt and the main number that matters is wins, but other than his 8 all of his other numbers seem to be off. Sure he has decreased his walks some but he is still on pace to walk 80. He has given up more hits than innings pitched also. His Ks are down as well.

Z has been struggling since his 130+ pitch outing against SD. I thought he had his sinker working again like he did earlier in his career, but his locatin has been sucky the past couple of outings. Even the homer ESPN announcers noticed how off he was

I'm giving props to Soto here, they only came to get him out of the game because Soto signaled to the bench that something was wrong, Z is never going to willingly come out of the game so i love the fact the catcher was looking out for the teams best interest. He signaled because Z changed his motion to Hinske. He came more from round the side than over the top. However Z said he is confident he will make his next start. For my money is was probably tiredness in the arm, he threw over 100 pitches.

I don't know but , the last time I picked up a forty-five pound GATORAID COOLER and threw it around in a fit of rage , I pulled my shoulder and it did hurt for a couple weeks.

He looks off the last 3 outings. Lou needs to shorten him up
