I think I have now had this same title for a thread about 5 different times. My hat goes off to him today. Sure the offense bailed him out with a 9 run inning, but he clearly didnt have his good stuff today and gave the team 7 innings. He gave up 2 HRs but kept pitching. I have always been a little rough on him , and he does drive me nuts, but he has been pitching outstanding lately. He moves to 6-3 on the year.

Everytime something is posted about Marquis I am going to keep saying that he will more than likely collapse in the second half. The only reason I keep saying this is because everytime I post it he has gone out and pitched a good game. I thought he pitched pretty well today. He gave up 2 home runs and one of them was to Dye who is on fire lately.

I just want Marquis to step it up in the 2nd half. Cubs can't afford to have him drop off when games start to really matter.
