The Rangers are close to signing free agent Kenny Lofton, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
It seems Texas outbid the Cubs. With Lofton in the fold, the chances of Brad Wilkerson getting non-tendered would seem to be higher. The Cubs will now have to reconsider playing either Alfonso Soriano or Jacque Jones in center field.

That's ok. What's the answer? Was it Nolan who thought Jones might be trade for some minor leaguers? Who is CF? will we stick w/ Izzy at SS? Is our rotation/bullpen set? I need to hear 'pitchers and cathers report'- My favorite words of the offseason
