Rich Hill and Felix Pie have both been placed on the disabled list.
Left handed-pitcher Hill was placed on the disabled list retroactive to June 22 with a left hamstring strain. Outfielder Pie was placed on the disabled list June 24 with a left thumb sprain.

Hill had a 2-4 record in seven games this season with Iowa. He posted a 5.88 ERA since being sent down from Chicago.

In 36 games with Iowa this season, Pie has posted a .222 average (30-for-135). Pie has recorded four homers, nine doubles and a triple in triple-A this year.

I wonder if Hill is really hurt.....sooooo ineffective still,and Pie? maybe it's his ego! This opens up some spots.

Thats exactly what i thought. Pie had the injury but Hill was supposed to go just to work with the pitching instructor wasn't he? Maybe he did a Mark Prior and injured himself walking to the train or something similar.

I think it was their trade value hitting the floor .

they both just need mental breaks and hopefully they can turn it around because both have been trainwrecks so far this year :eek:
