Ok so i have been very busy lately working and all and havent gotten to see many games, but i havent really heard anything about Lieber. did he fall off the earth or what? he was having a good start to the year except that start against the phillies with the whole 4 hr or however many he gave up.

He threw 2 good innings for us last night, keeping us within striking distance. We have had a ton of close games lately and our starters have been going 6 or more for the past 2 weeks so he hasnt been used as much of late.

With Z out for awhile you'd think we will see him eating up some innings here and there. Marshall was far from impressive last night so who knows, he might fill in for Z for a bit if SM doesn't get on track.

well Sean Marshall is only getting one more start before Z gets back so i dont really see Lieber filling in for him...anyways i like him in that long role and he has had a good season so far so why change it...Go Cubs! 20 games over .500 and 4.5 games up on the Cards!

I brought up the same thing here somewhere else .....only 30 innings or so this year! STREEETCH,Then I heard today on AM1000 that if he stays in bullpen,he's considering retirement-NOT complaining, but considering-except this year cause i gather he likes his chances of getting a ring!

NOthing wrong w/retirement if he finishes out the year.
