GAME OBSERVATIONS

[HEYHEY]

I was at the O's game yesterday and what a disappointment. The whole vibe was lathargic. The crowd was out of it and so was the team.

I started a "Let's go Cubbies" chant and they started a rally. I am not suggesting that I had anything to do with the ralley but the team seemed like they responded to it.

Marquis clearly has to go. They have to make a move for a starting pitcher. Wuertz is suspect # 2. Lieber got rocked but he hasn't pitched in so long.

The injuries are starting to pile up now. Let's hope they can get Johnson back. Sori,Z, and Fuky are major cogs. They looked like last years team without them. It's gut check time

I totally agree on Wuertz. Once again he has a low ERA, but can't keep the runners he inherits from other pitchers from scoring. He was solid last year, but he was doing this crap in previous years. I'm tired of it.

As for Marquis, this was his first loss since the middle of May. If he starts tanking over the next couple of games, then I will agree, but since we have nothing better at this time, I can't fault him for one bad game.

Oh, I agree that we need one more arm to go with our big 3 for the playoffs. I think the Cubs will pull that off. It's just a question of who is it going to be. I am just also saying that I cannot complain about the job that Marquis has done up until yesterday. Yesterday sucked.

Peaks and valleys guys, once in awhile our asses will get handed to us. Marquis has exceeded expectations so far this year, but no, he won't be on the playoff roster unless its long relief.
