I was just browsing over there and all i can say is wow!!! There is everything from Hendry bashing to how over rated Soriano is. Whos side are these people on???

One thing that caught my eye and made me chuckle a bit was some idiot talking about how Soriano's ERA is 2.33 in day games:eek: ERA??? So Soriano is in our pitching rotation now I guess. He is a lock for the Cy Young for sure!!!

better than mabry's era, i think it was in the 60.00s (chuckle)

nah people on there are rabid, and i include myself in that, i always find myself being more confrontational when im posting there than here

Just found this board from a thread on the cubs.com board. Thought I'd give it a try and see if it was any better (it can't be any worse).

My screen name over there is wvcubsfan. I have promised myself to start over this year and not be as negative or a "darksider". Since my two main complaints are gone (McFail and Donothing Bake) I have a new found optimism.

Any general information anyone can share with me regarding this board would be appreciated.

I don't get why people bash the cubs.com board. True it is full of losers you wouldn't want mowing your lawn but there is some good banter over there. For me the only plus is the MLB sites have way way more members. Oh yeah did I tell you guys of the night terrors when I dream theres no more fogpod? "A day without (frogpod) is like without sunshine". Can someone name movie thats from?

I view the MLB Board, but I don't post The ignorance outways the information (the last post I posted was "go **** yourself, how's that for a grammatical error").

I like it over here much better. I think poaching some of the better posters from there and bringing them here is a pretty solid idea...

Yeah is it a hitler joke? But really there are quite a few polish people in Chicago for what its worth (they don't get the joke).:)

oh im well aware of the polish population here. i dated one for awhile, shes a good girl and fun time but she kept talking about her one armed uncle that kept falling out of trees for some reason.

I'm looking forward to this board. Hopefully there will not be as much silliness. and troublemakers as is on the Cubs message board. Looking forward to this season, and hope we can root the Cubs a playoff spot!!

dating the polish girl, yes. the one armed uncle, no. its an old polish joke, you'd have to read the thread to get it. we were talking about mark derosa in CF next year and it somehow got all turned around

Welcome to the board! There is some silliness here but its in good taste and humor. There's no anamosity and fighting and bitching like on the cubs.com board. I like it.

Don't forget they are still stuck on calling JH fat, he sits around eats doughnuts, critize every transaction like they are the President and CEO of the Cubs. I only thank goodness this board is here so real Cub fans can talk!

Im not sure they understand that they arent the GM of the for a good reason. They base everything off statistics and think trades can be made and FAs signed with a few clicks. They dont seem to understand that its not fantasy baseball!

I have a real hard time with the primma-donnas (SP) that put themselves above others. you have to be careful what your ideas are or you will get berated by some real winners. those are the type that I usually have my fun with. It's nice putting them in their place.

The dougnut and fat jokes are a bit overboard. Wat too many backseat GM's over there.

I'll go over there jst to read the posts when im bored. Its disgusting who much they bicker and insult each other. Rather than intelligently discussing different ideas, they bash each other for thinking about it. Can't stand it. Plus the trolls from other MLB boards constantly bashing the cubs and JH's moves and so on. Can't stand it.

i worked at a donut shop in high school and ate donuts all the time. oh it was wonderful, until i saw a giant vat of glaze congealing about made my hangover jump right out of my body and kick me in the snuts. it was horrible. i recently re-discovered the doughy goodness though. mmmm donuts.
