Demps throws 91 pitches, bats in the top of the 7th and then gets taken out. If your gonna take him out at least PH for him.

That sounds like something Dusty would do. Demps should have gone another inning with the recent struggles of Marmol. I was pissed that Dempster didn't get the win.

from what i heard, had they not scored the runs, he would have been left in..... sounds like Lou did it in reverse

It was definately another questionable move that looks like it crushed Marmols confidence. He actually looked like he wanted to cry. He looked really good the first 2 batters, fanning them both- then the BB and then Mr Lewis ( who I think is going to be a stud- I know he fanned 3 times) gets a hit, and then Durham who can still turn on anyones fastball- and he did.

actually, I heard that the reason Demps was pulled, was because it was a long top of the inning on a cool night.....

Marmol needs to get his stuff together soon though

That makes some sense because it was a long inning, however I dont remember any pitching changes taking place during the inning and Demps sweats like a horse. I think that was used as just an excuse. Im sure Demps didnt say that., but it does have logic behind it.

There's no crying baseball

I think this is the bottom line. Marmol needs to find out what is wrong and fix it. He pisses off Lou and I don't care what he has done in the past, Lou will make him pitch slop in a lopsided afair for the next three weeks. He'll never get back in with the game on the line. Lou is funny like that.

I would cry if I was him after today and he should not be put in a game with it on the line until he straightens out. I think he is the key to our staff- yes a one inning setup man. This is the 3rd loss that he has had a big part in. If he is normal- we have a 5.5 game lead right now.

he should be sent down until he can straighten it out. We cant afford to lose games with this BS.
