SKIPPER 11

I often dont give Lou credit however today I think he deserves some. Of course I disagreed with a couple of things such as not pinch running for Ward with Marquis in the 8th and then the HIT AND RUN with Lee with a 5 run lead in the ninth- actually it was a steal with Theriot. Im surprised Rammy didnt take one in the ribs for that. It got Rammy an RBI though, so I guess I will be selfish.
The good things- the lineup- I thought Edmonds has really been pressing this series. I know a RH was pitching but Johnson is a good player. Now this gives a 38year old 2 full days off. I thought he took Marshall out at the exact time. He gave us six strong and that was all he needed to do. I liked him pinch hitting Fuku in the seventh and then leaving him in the game for defense and not double switching for anyone. In other words, he kept his best defense out there. I liked the bunt with RJ to move Fuku in scoring position to pad the lead. The best move though I thought he made was staying with Cotts after the lead off single. He could have easily brought Gallagher in after that and then you would have seen Shumaker and Duncan hit. I thought Cotts was awesome.
We won the series. Lets celebrate. Again great job Lou.
