This would be great. I think Batista was the guy they were the most interested in after Schmidt. 0 for 2 sounds good to me! :D

Yeah I can see what this is already gonna lead to. "Cubs had to go out and sign all the big free agents and buy themselves a World Series" Thats one thing I have already been prepared to deal with is the Cards and Sox fans run there mouth about our payroll. To bad they havn't done anything this off season. Notice the sartcasm?

Don't forget they have Clemens still floating in the breeze he may comeback and play another half season ya know. LMAO....unless of course he decides to follow Pettitte or go to Boston and then that half season crap isn't gonna work.

You know what'll happen? They'll have to go to a bunch of rooks like we did.. only they'll all turn out to be Lirianos or something..

That is crazy....If he pitched the full season last year they may have beaten the Cards out for the division...of course I'm just speculating.

With our luck, I wouldnt be suprised.

Still Im glad to see the Stros and the Cards suffer in the pitching dept.

Still can get worse for the Cards, Weaver's agent is Scott Boras so unless St.L gets desperate, hes prolly gone, Suppan is anyone's guess, and Mulder is being pursued by a lot of teams for a lot of money so they wont be able to count on him returning either.

Plus I see Clemens going to the Yankees or Red Sox bc those make the most obvious choices.

I hope they lose out on Suppan also. the longer they wait the price will go up. too bad for the Redbirds.
