Possible Cubs Matsuzaka Bid Amount

The buzz around Chicago today is that the Cubs plan on submitting a bid of $21 million for the rights to negotiate with Daisuke Matsuzaka. If other teams believe this leak to be accurate, it may cause them to up the ante if they have not yet submitted bids.

The Yankees, Mets, Rangers, and Red Sox are said to be the other four teams in the game.

Interesting, gem. We'll see what happens. The deadline is tomorrow at 4pm. Matsuzaka in Cubbie Blue? Sounds really good to me!:D

I'm thinking that 25 mil would get him but I think the Yanks are going to be pursuing Clemens and Pettite.

They may give up on Matsazuka.....who know...:)

That would be fine with me. Get those two off the Astros and put them in the AL!:)

To be honest....I don't think there's a player out there thats worth more then 10 mil....LOL...:D

Unfortunately that's where the market and agents have taken baseball salaries.

I still love the game and all but salaries have gotten out of control..;) ;)
