I say they can reach 90 wins. I cant help but be partial and optimistic.With new additions and an almost decent starting rotation I think it's a possibility.Anyone else wanna take a guess?

94 wins. Lord Z cy young. Lee MVP with the Soriano and Cesar getting on base and a good Aram. Guys keep in mind that during the regular season a good offense is the key with decent pitching. In the playoffs its all about the pitching IMO.

I know that there are a million of these threads all the time but i haven't seen one since before we got soriano.I think hendry actually did a good job so far this off-season by getting all these free agents. If the starting rotation holds up I think they have a descent chance. Offense looks good too. You have to plan on injuries though.

I will stand by my prediction the Chicago Cubs will win 92 games, 1st place in the division. I don't see any teams in the division making any real changes that would make an impact like the Cubs did this offseason.

I'll give us 90 wins. That should be enough to take the division.

I don't know.. 90 should be a pretty solid guess.. but the Astros are going to be solid this year too.. they'll give us a run for our money, I think..

96 wins.
Depends on injuries though. And if we acquire Ryan Church and/or Cliff Floyd before the start of spring training.
I think one or both of those guys will help us.

Anyone think st. louis will be good this year?If not we have a pretty good chance at the division.90 wins should get us there,but you never know.

I'm not so sure that the cards are the ones we really have to worry about this year.. the cardinals have a terrible way of making the most out of a mediocre team.. and I suspect they'll be good again next year.. but I think the Sto's are the ones we need to watch out for..

I won't pick how many wins but I will say that if the cubs score 16 runs and win on opening day, then it will be another losing season. If you are superstitious then you are probably better off hoping for an opening day loss!

The cards will always be a team in contention as long as la russa and jockety are at the helms....but it's not gonna be their year, they'll have around the 80-85 wins whereas the Cubs are gonna finish in the high 90's (if we stay relatively healthy)
Cubs=97 wins and division champs
Astros=89 and they fall short of the wildcard to either the Phillies or D-backs.

Keep an eye on the Brewers!

Excluding the Pirates, who I'm not really going to worry about, it should be pretty even for the first few weeks of the season. I have a feeling the first team with any sort of injury to a starting player will be the first to bite the dust for the season.... just hope to the heaven's above that it isn't us!

We have the lineup and rotation to take the division. An eye always needs to be kept on the Cards ad Stros. Th Bewes don't hae the pitching IMO to compete, and the same with the Reds. It might be a contest of who can beat Pittsburgh the most.

I'm too superstitious when it comes to the Cub's to make predictions.
