2 balls and 1 strike to Aarron Miles folks, temp is hott hott hott today and there is no wind to blow a cheapie homer into a basket ala Jim Edmonds. Let's see what kind of pitch Miles sees, the pitcher needs to throw a strike here...swing and shot to right this is gonna go and it's a walk off grand slam homer for Aaron Miles and the Cards do indeed get the brooms out and defeat the Padres in a thriller 9-5 taking the 4 game set at Busch and keeping the Cards 2 games behind the Cubs for 1st in the nl central. What a shot, a no doubter off the bat of miles...woo wee, and he is batting .322 to boot. the cardiac cards have done it again folks.

Although I'm a Cards fan, I respect the Cubs and appreciate their brand of ball, but sadly, everyone keeps talking Brewers and everyone is turning their back on a LaRussa led team. This is a dangerous team who will add something via trade this week rumor has it it might be AJ Burnett, but never the less, the Cards have had a hero every night this season. Cubs should win it though, however, they are due for a rough patch or two, the schdule is murder for them the second half. This should be an incredible 3 horse race although something tells me that Houston could make a push should all their horses get hot. they can score a lot of runs. Oswalt is dl'd though. Fun times, the Cards game was amazing today though.
