How do you like that? We pick up this guy, he throws a one ****ing hitter and will get a no-decision and most likely get the loss. What a ****ing joke!

As good as Harden was he made one terrible mistake on a 1-2 pitch to a minor leaguer.

Sometimes that's just the way the game goes. But 2 great outings in a row with nothing (except for a possible loss) to show for it? That's pretty hard to swallow.

Nice job Lou- way to leave Cotts in the pen with a lefty up.

He wasn't perfect by any means. He put at least 5 fastballs right down the center of the plate (not counting those on 3-0 counts) and didn't pay for those. But it is still a very tough loss to swallow.

According to the Baseball Almanac- the NL record is 30 while the overall record is 36 for a single player.

You aren't the only one. I still have the mindset when he comes into a game that he will give up at least one run if he pitches the entire inning. Not the kind of lack of confidence I want to have in a RP.

I take it Lee is trying to put himself in the record books then. If I heard correctly tonight that last one makes an even 20 for him I believe.

The DP was bad, but the pitch he swung at was worse. He couldnt do anything with that pitch but what he did. DLEE is a very good hitter but not a great run producer. He has 1 season with 100RBI or more

I still cant get over Rammy. 0-28 now an 0- 17- he is way too good of a hitter to do that. I may be wrong but in the back of my mind I still think about that trip he took back home. I know he supposedly keeps his life personal but I have still yet to hear any broadcaster say anything about a baby.

Don't try to rain on my anger parade. This is the first game I've actually been pissed about all season. I think I'll just sit here and try to think of any cuss words I can make rhyme with Howry. Because I have a feeling I will need them in the future.

Hendry needs to find another quality bullpen arm to help out Howry, Marmol and Wood.

Howry doesnt have it. I said it the other day when he gave up the runs to the Astros. When both RHs and LHs are hitting near .300 against you, there is a problem. That run was huge he allowed too. I know it wouldnt have mattered, but maybe Lee would have been just a little more patient with his AB.

I think Gaudin can definately help. I would use him in Howrys spot, but I still think we need something else out there.

In my opinion Hendry did find a quality bullpen arm to help them out. Although another one would be nice. To me Howry should be nothing more than a situational pitcher. He can be effective when only facing a batter or 2. It's usually when you bring him in with the understanding that the whole inning is his that things get ugly.

The run he gave up definitely mattered. It might not be obvious on the scoreboard but that absolutely changes Lee's approach with his AB in a one run game.

I wouldn't mind as much when Howry comes in if we have, oh, a 5 or 6 run lead. But when it is close, this guy is giving up at least one run every time he pitches. I knew we were in trouble.

How many times have we seen our bats all go dead ???? It happens every freakin year !! I am tired of it . How can this just keep happening ? I just don't understand it .
The Brewers are making big moves everything from pitching to solid hitters. If this team does not pull its head out they will be looking up to the Brewers by next week !!!

what is it about that stadium - Lee and Ramirez cannot hit the ball there.
and what happened to Fontenot? On Sunday Lou said he was on a streak and would play. why wasn't he in the line-up last night?
rest Aramis and DLee and i'd also get Soto a rest - we have a HUGE series loomign with Milwaukee next week and those are always brutal games.

Ramirez can't hit the ball anywhere we play right now. I agree he needs a rest.
I'm pretty sure Fontenot wasn't in the lineup because Johnson was pitching. Pretty sure if a righty was out there Fontenot would have started. Edmonds was our only lefty in the lineup I believe. As soon as Johnson was out of the game the lefties were unloaded from the bench.

I dont know - Im sure I was pissed. I definately know though that I wasnt the guy saying yesterday to bring on the 44 yr old with an over 5 era. We are the best offense in baseball. Numbers dont matter regarding what he has done in the past against us. We are doing a lot better against lefties this year. Somebody made those statements. Well, guess what- he shoved it right up our butts for the 13th time.

This is not a good situation from any way you chose to look at it .
First of all we traded a great prospect for Harden to give us wins now and , we just pissed away 2 of his maybe 13 starts . You can also say his signing was to counter CC going to the Brewers , he has 2 wins now , so much for thinking Harden could counter it .
Rameriz has not been hitting since his " personal affairs " came up and took him out for a few days. D Lee is doing the same inconsistent at bat foolishness he went through last year. Fukedome only shows up at home , he is a complete non-factor outside of Wrigley . Soriano is coming back from his SECOND injury ( delayed comeback already ) . Theriot is playing great now but , has a history of falling off at the end . We are expecting all star performances from two guys playing outfield that were picked up from the land of broken toys .
So that leaves us a overachieving midget at second ( according to most ) . We can play DeRosa all the time at second but , I doubt if this outfield can take the field every day. Our rookie catcher is great and hopefully doesn't fall off.
Now I am not saying all is lost . I am just saying we are not physically in a position to be able to battle back in our standings , especially when all the moves the Brewers are making seem to be clicking. I know the Cards and Brews can see our weakness and that is why they are making moves to bolster their teams .
There is blood in the water and the sharks are gathering , it is time to get back in the boat .

I'm replying to my own post because I don't like sounding so negative. It was just such a hard game to watch. I had awesome seats and I always look forward to their series here in Phoenix, but they can't hit a ball here for some reason. :( And I agree that DLee and Rammy need a rest.
