Well they finally agreed to a deal. I honestly didn't think they would end up signing, but after days of rumors, it's now reported that he signed.

yes, all the accusations that Boston had no intent on signing him was rediculous. The way I felt was if he did not want to sign then he could just go home. Why should the Red Sox pay him what Boras wanted? Boras was the one not willing to negotiate. At the end of the day Boras was not in a position to not bargain because he had no leverage.

I hate how much pull Boras has in today's baseball. He controls a lot of salary issues in the league.
