Why would you need 6 firearms if you live in Gurnee? Jesus.

I don't even know where Gurnee is, and on top of that.. if you're famous, and you have 6 guns, why wouldn't you just go get a FID?

It's a nice suburb of Chicago. I mean really, if you're rich enough to get a big house in Gurnee and 6 guns, why not just install a security system? I think that takes care of home safety.

Well what I think is kind of crazy is what is the probable cause for search? Why was the search warrant issued? These are all questions that are not covered by the article, he has obviously had weapons violations in the past but to conduct a search warrant for a simple misdemeanor charge seems very unlikely to me. So with this in mind was there intent of a felony conviction and they just decided to chump up these charges after they didn't get the felony they were looking for. Just seems a little strange to me.

something tells me the cops got a warrant they had good reason simply bc the bears are going to the playoffs and hes a big piece of the puzzle. if they were gonna pull some stupid shiat they would wait till the offseason. im not even joking either. im geussing they would only do it if they thought someone was in danger or there was a drug bust or something. what kind of guns were they?

They never mentioned what type of guns they were, but if they were anything that was illegal to posses it would have been a felony. I work in law enforcement and this story just doesn't add up. It just strikes me odd that they would serve a search warrant for simple misdemeanor charges. There has got to be more to this story that isn't coming out.

isn't he on probation? I don't think they need a warrant if you're on probation, and they suspect you of anything like that..

He is on probation for another Misdemeanor gun charge. Which if he was on felony probation that would give his probation officer the right to search his house anytime but seeing how he is on Misdemeanor probation, that type of probation is regularly watched by the courts not any inparticular person which would not generally result in a search warrant. I heard on the news today that there was a warrant issued to search his home for reports of animal abuse and shots being fired form the residence in the past.
