Why should she respect them- our manager doesnt seem to either. I mean he pitches to Pujols with a 3-1 count and a base open, then walks Ludwick. Of course it worked out, but I wouldnt try to make my living that way. Now he has Smarj in the game with Howry warming in the pen and Wood nor Gaudin is anywhere to be seen. Smarj is doing fine, but he is showing that he has been in the MLB for only a month- he basically lets runners go at will. I respect the heck out of them especially #5.

I don't think the cards will hang with the cubs in the end, but they are a pesky, scrappy team which garners some respect. They always seem to put themselves in a position to score runs and frustrate the opposition by doing so. Infield singles and swinging bunts and the like. Of course then their fans go have a circle jerk over getting someone on base.
