Three generations of broadcasters and not one of them can pick a decent pair of glasses.

Sure do miss them, though.

From a true blue Cubs fan.. That whole tribute brought a tear to my eye thinking of Harry and all the stuff he used to say, the laughs he gave me every year, and the infamous 7th inning stretch! Kudos to you! God Bless Harry the only person I know that can hang up on the President of the United States because the Cubs are starting a rally.

Very nice tribute. Hard to believe it's been almost a decade since Harry's passing (I think it would be around this time next year nine years ago when Harry fell and passed on).

Wow, bczar...I don't know how i missed this thread! That is pretty awesome. I remember I was at work at a daycare. We had the radio on in our room (I had school aged children) and it came across the radio that Harry had died. I sat and cried...in front of the kids. I felt like a grandpa had died.

I never got to listen to Harry Carry call a game. It makes me angry that I wasn't born 10 years earlier just to hear him once.

Awesome! Harry is one of the reasons i became a huge cub fan. I have a painting of him and had it hanging in my living room. When i got married my wife made me move it out of the living room, so i put it in the computer room. The only reason she didn't want it in the LR is so she didn't have to see it as much, but i think she spends more time in the computer room now and has to have him overlooking her everyday!

Thank you to all for the feedback. I hope the tribute reminds everyone of how much Harry loved baseball and how much he meant to the Cubs.............and the other teams he commentated for. (just not as much as the Cubs:)

This is a great tribute to the most entertaining sports announcer that I have ever had the pleasure of watching and listening to my entire life. He is probably the main reason I became a Cub fan in the first place. Nice job, bczar!!!
