Season sweep of the Braves??

I dont know when the last time we did it was, but it is sure looking good for this year. We have been deep in their pen today, with Glavine going tomorrow. Glavine coming off a long injury should limit his pitches tomorrow. Harden showed a little rust tonight after 7 full days of rest, but he made a big pitch to finish his night off. Aram looks good finally and Fukudome had a nice game 2 tonight. I feel bad for Ward right now, almost like I did for Big Bob a week ago. Ward is about the only one who is not contributing right now. Things are looking good.

Ward just hasn't looked good all year.... 4 for 40! YIKES! I like the guy.... but I don't feel comfortable when he comes to the plate, and definately would not feel comfy if this was a playoff situation. I really think it's time to say goodbye to Ole DW, DFA, trade, whatever, but he is wasting a roster spot. We have plenty other "veteran experience" on this team that one guy isn't going to make a difference. I would say bring Hoffpauir up, but then again, until we would be able to use him on more of a regular basis (september) I think I would rather the kid stay in Iowa and get regular at bats.

Don't get too far ahead of yourself. Like you have pointed out before the Cubs seem to come out kind of half-assed when they have won the first 2 games of the series. I do like how the game is setting up for tomorrow, but I'd prefer to wait until the last pitch is thrown to break out the broom.
