Okay with Webb at 19-4 it is pretty much a done deal unless he just has a meltdown. CC will and probably should get some votes as well. I think Dempster though will receive some attention. If you asked who the five best Ps in the league were- I doubt Demps' name would show up too many times on peoples lists. I know getting victories is a team effort and our offense has scored him runs, but go look at his game log and look how many times he had a no decision or loss while giving up 3 or fewer runs. I can only remember him having one real bad start all year and that was vs the White sox. Keep it up Ryan.

Comcastsportsnet today posed the question to the viewers on "Who would you want to start game one of the playoffs?"....and the voters chose dempster, then Z, then Hardin, then Lilly. Oddly enough, Demp received 46% of the votes, which is his number! :)

Sadly Demps wont win. Webb has it locked up

Don't be so sure. If Demp wins 20 all bets are off

An amazing post season performance could swing it for my man Demp.

it would take a massive fall off from Webb, and Demos woudl have to win the rest of hsi starts. As much as I would love to see it, I cant even imagine it.

Webb has 4 more wins, and a slightly better ERA and tied for Ks.

they both have about 6 starts left. If Webb goes .500 in those 6, he has it made

That won't have any bearing, as the Cy Young is voted on right at the end of the regular season.

Lincecum has been better than both Webb and Dempster, IIRC.

He'll probably finish 2nd in the voting.

Webb's the CY for the NL. But make no mistake about it, people know what Dempster is doing this season. He has battled and pitched consistantly all season!

Yeah I think he's been the nicest suprise of the season.

Yea , supposedly but usually they go with the winner . Didn't Big Z lose out one year to a Mets pitcher who went to the post season . I may be wrong with the team but , I could swear something like that happened .

the ballots are due the day after the regular season ends. Playoffs have nothing to do with it
