They are in a serious hunt for Zito and they also talked with Suppan on Wednesday. If they land both of them they are going to definatly be tough again next year. Lets just hope that when the Cubs meet them in the post season that Wright, Beltran, and Delgado go on cold streak as they were in the Cardinals series.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.. there's 162 games before we have to worry about what players will hopefully be going cold in the postseason.. :)

Agreed. Season is way too long to start predicting these things. Plus, remember Cub Karma.

Its to early to predict these things but everyone can predict how many games not only are the Cubs gonna win but the entire division. Hmmmm sounds like a double standard.

I still think we should have went after Suppan instead of Marquis, but I hope Marquis proves me wrong.

I had heard they are only going to go after Suppan if they can't land Zito.

Haha.. aww you caught me shef. I think predicting that players will go cold is a bit more something for a crystal ball reader.. Not my bag. Predicting wins/losses is fun. Haha.. yeah, so I have double standards.

Suppan's great September really saved his a$$ financially, he was having a near 5 era all year till then. He's so overated it's sickening, but I guess in this market he deserves it. If Meche can get 55 million Suppan shouldn't come cheap either lmao.
