We were just talking about things we got for Christmas on another thread, and I was babbling about my new friend, the Wrigley brick.. And it got me thinking.. what's your favorite piece of memorabilia, baseball or otherwise, you have? I've got some sweet stuff.. as a bachelor, I'm entitled to have sweet **** that you can't have if you're married.. so mine's a tie between my Fergie Autograph, my Sandburg autograph, and my lifesize cardboard cutouts of Jean Luc Picard and Captain Kirk. I suppose I'd have to give it to my Fergie Jenkins ball..

No Cubs autographs yet so I would have to say my Tony Gwynn signed baseball.

I have plenty of memorabilia, but my favorite is a foul ball I caught when Kerry Wood was pitching during his 20K game in May of '98.

Was Wood the one pitching when you cought it, or was it the pitcher for the other team?

Wood was on the mound. Always said I'd like to give it back to him someday, but it's become my lucky charm.

Here's a pic of the Kerry Wood 20K ball. It's the one on the left. It's all dirty now because I rub it in my hands all the time when I am watching games. Like I said, it's my good luck charm. :)

Brutus--You're about to be even a little more jealous. At the third game of the '05 series in Phx against the D-Backs I was sitting in the front row next to the Cubs dugout. During batting practice I looked up and saw Ryno and got his autograph immediately! I looked over and saw Dusty and asked for his. Then Aramis came "jogging" up and I got his too!;) Once the game started, Corey Patterson hit the ball and it rolled over toward the dugout. The lovely Todd Walker picked it up and handed it to me over the net! A very lucky day for me.
Then in '06, again I was sitting in the front and looked over 4 seats from me and saw Billy Williams sitting there. I verified that it was him with the usher and she said "yes it's him and he is giving autographs." Another lucky day! It also doesn't hurt to be in the front wearing a Cubs jersey!:D

Todd Walker had been my most favorite current Cub as of last year. I have his jersey. Last April, I took my seven year old to a game and afterwards, we went back to the players parking lot. We got Sean Marshall, Matt Murton and Scott Eyre's autograph on my son's baseball. We talked a little with Scott Eyre...GREAT guy! I looked over..and there was Todd Walker on the other side of the lot signing autographs. I grabbed my son and ran over there. He was just starting to walk back to his car when I tore off my jersey (Luckily I wore another T-shirt underneath--i'm a girl, btw). I yelled his name and held up the jersey and asked him to please sign his jersey. He came back and said "You've gotta be the last one, I gotta move my car"...and he signed it! I was on cloud nine! The jersey now hangs in a frame on my wall with the picture of him signing it.
I also have Ryne Sandberg's autograph on a poster that he signed a month before he was officially inducted into the HOF.
I have a baseball that Ernie Banks signed for my grandfather. He signed it "To Bob....Happiness... Ernie Banks".
I also have a ball signed by a lot of the players and coaches from a Cubs Convention back in the late 80's. My entire living room has a Cubs theme. I have a huge black and white framed photo of Wrigley with Cubs memorabalia all over. My friends and family think I am nuts, but it is who I am.

Your living room sounds great and a bit like mine (I've got my Corey Patterson ball on my mantle surrounded by memorabilia)--and my family think I'm nuts too:eek: I'm getting ready to move to a new house and have plans to display all of my stuff on the walls in a little bar area, which will be painted Cubbie blue. :D

When I lived at my parents house, my room had a big wall with nothing on it, so we painted a Floor to ceiling..wall to wall... Cubs emblem on it. The rest of the room was painted a light blue on the bottom...a red stripe around the middle and dark blue on the top. It was GREAT! They still have it like that. I may do that to my son's bedroom someday.

Very cool stuff guys. Thanks for sharing. I don't have too much memorabilia, but I do have a Nolan Ryan signed baseball personally made out to me that I've had since I was a little kid. Pretty cool item from one of the greats. :D
