View Full Version : Bears at Falcons

Bears go into Atlanta sunday with a winning record and a division lead. Suprisingly they face another winning team in the Falcons who are starting a rookie QB. ..... The Bears have one name on their minds going into Sunday. That name belongs to a home town guy in MICHAEL TURNER. The former North Chicago and Northern Illinois star has been nothing short of great in his first season as a starting RB after years of backing up Ladainian Tomlinson in San Diego. He's the main weapon the Falcons have averaging 5.3 YPC while leading the NFL in rushing with over 500 yds in 5 games. The Bears have been very good against the run this season thanks to the play of Dust Dvoracek in the middle and Lance Briggs at the LB spot, along with a healthy Mike Brown at safety. They have to force a talented Rookie QB to beat them through the air. Something I don't think he's going to be able to do. Constant pressure on Matt Ryan should result in some mistakes by the young QB. The Bears must keep him on his toes! ..... On offense the Bears should stay aggressive. It's worked 2 weeks in a row. Defenses are not expecting the Bears to let Kyle Orotn loose. But that's exactly what the Bears are doing. And it's worked. Let Orton loose a little more every week to keep the opposing defense honest by not having 8 men in the box against Forte every down. It's going to be a tough task keeping the NFL's leading pass rusher in John Abraham away from Orton. But keeping the Flacons on their toes by passing will eventually open things up for Matt Forte. The Bears have to stay with what's won them 2 games in a row: Being aggressive on the offensive end! ...... The Bears defense against Michael Turner will be the story of this game. I think the Bears will be up to the task by keeping Turner in the 70 yd range on the ground. ... Bears 24 Falcons 10

Yea, Lovie really made a bad call yesterday. Not kicking it deep really cost the Bears the game. Who do they have back there Deving Hester? You have to have enough faith in your special teams unit to be able to cover a kick. If not just kick it out of bounds deep. ..... In fairness the secondary was down to 3rd and 4th stringers. But how impressive was Matt Ryan? He looked great! I can't believe that was just his 6th career NFL game! He completed big 3rd down after big 3rd down.
