Hello...I just found this site and it seems very active...even for the offseason! My name is Heather. I have been a Cub fan since 1984... many a heartache, but my blood bleeds Cubbie Blue! I have passed the blue blood down to my son, who is seven and is a HUGE Cub fan now, as well. Hope to talk with you all soon! I hate the offseason! I look to message boards for a "group therapy support system" for both the offseason and the nightmare seasons we have all endured over the years. I just figure, the pain of the past will make "Next Year" that much sweeter when it does actually get here!

Welcome Heather! I'm so happy to see another girl on the board, I was starting to think I was the only one!:( My name is Mara, and if you'll notice, that's A-Ram backwards! I guess it's just coincidence that Aramis is my favorite. I also have a son, but he's a guitar player and not into the Cubs or baseball at all. I guess I need to work on that. Welcome to the board and I look forward to talking with you!:)

There is no offseason. With all the trades and rumors and what-have-you, and all of the jamokes on this board, there is always enough to keep you occupied.

What cornfield? I used to be married to a cornfield dweller.

I am literally surrounded by corn and bean fields in North Central Illinois. Kinda by Iowa...Kinda by Peoria...Not far from Chicago. Smack dab in a cornfield.

I just went driving by cornfields today. Had to get some driving hours in to get my license. I hate this new 50 hours of driving practice law.

Be careful when driving around the fields...lots of deer than will just jump out at your car! I've totalled three cars due to Bambi's relatives!

Sad to say, but I've gotten used to it...so has my insurance agent! LOL I hit one a couple of months ago, and it didn't even end up doing damage to my car, so maybe my car is getting used to it as well!

Lol, that's good. Getting into crashes isn't fun though, as I've recently found out.
